Formula Learner Driving School is the trading name of Formula Learner Driving School LTD and will be referred to in these terms and conditions as the Driving School.

The Driving School employs and cooperates directly with individual driving instructors on a franchise basis. These instructors have completed a rigorous course to become a Driving Instructor at our Driving School. Instructors are self-employed and act as franchisees of the Driving School in accordance with the terms of the franchise agreement between the Driving School and the instructor.

Payment for driving lessons

The Driving School operates on a 48-hour pre-payment basis in accordance with the rules adopted by the Approved Driving Instructors National Joint Council

We introduced a pre-payment policy in August 2010 to protect our driving instructors who traveled to multiple student pick-up locations, only to find out that the student was not there, resulting in significant loss of income, time (possibility of placing another student in his place) and the additional cost of wasted fuel.

Driving instructors are paid only for the driving lessons they provide, and last-minute cancellations have a serious impact on their livelihoods.

Driving lessons are organized in 2-hour blocks, we also offer a 2-hour trial lesson.

Payment for the course can be made in two installment systems

🔹 the cost of a 2-hour lesson is £75,

this is the amount for “flexible lessons” with flexible payments from lesson to lesson.

🔹We also offer

“10-hour lesson blocks.”

The cost of such a block with a one-time upfront payment is £350.

We have several ways to make payment:

1 Cash payment

Students pay a fee for “flexible” lessons or “block of lessons” to the Driving Instructor with whom they have lessons.

* In the case of “flexible lessons”, the student pays a fee of £150 for 1 lesson and the next lesson.

On the second lesson £75 for the 3rd lesson.

In this way, the student always has the next lesson paid in advance and the next lesson booked.

* In the case of a “lesson block”

During 1 lesson, the student pays the fee for the lesson block and the Instructor reserves subsequent lessons for the student.

2 Payment to the Driving School Account

The fee for “flexible lessons” or “lesson block” must be paid to the Driving School’s account 48 hours before the driving lesson.

LESSON CANCELLATION POLICY

You must give your instructor at least 24 hours’ notice if you wish to cancel or change your booked driving lesson. Failure to do so may result in your instructor charging you the full amount for this driving lesson.

Any disputed transaction will be immediately and fully investigated by the Driving School. The result of the investigation will be communicated to both parties.
